Manisha Karmakar

Manisha Karmakar is a versatile singer and can sing all types of songs. She is a contestant of Zee Sa Re Ga Ma, a talent hunt show on Zee TV.

The Kolkata girl Manisha had started with a lot of promise. So much that Anu Malik had even commented she could become the next Idol, but somehow her last two performances were just not up to the mark. Manisha had won the Zee Bangla Sa Re Ga Ma in Kolkata in 2008 and participated in the 2009 Sa Re Ga Ma Challenge on Zee.

She was a favorite among her fellow participants in that season in clinching the title. The Bengali girl had impressed the judges with her performance and got selected in the Top 17 of the contest. But unfortunately, it is believed that after a promising start, she lost her confidence which resulted in her surprise exit. Even her fellow contestants were surprised.

It is believed that the episode where she sang the “Zara Zara Touch me Touch me” song was the reason for her elimination where she had lost the track mid-way, and which became the reason for losing her confidence in the reality show. She said about her experiences in , where she received tips from judges who worked with Priyam Chakroborty, and received suggestions from Sunidhi Chauhan and Anu Malik.

With this, it is even believed she will succeed & her potential was never in doubt. Her famous songs included -“Bhromor Koiya Giya”, “Tu hi Tu Hai”, “Amar Hridoy”
